Musk did his undergraduate study from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario at the age of 17. In February 1999, Compaq Computer acquired Zip2 for US$307 million.
> X.com and PayPal : In March 1999, with US$10 million from the sale of Zip2, Musk co-founded X.com, an online financial services and e-mail payment company. PayPal Holdings, Inc. is an American company operating a worldwide online payments system that supports online money transfers and serves as an electronic alternative to traditional paper methods like checks and money orders. PayPal is one of the world’s largest Internet payment companies. The company operates as a payment processor for online vendors, auction sites and other commercial users, for which it charges a fee. > Tesla : Tesla, Inc. (originally Tesla Motors) was incorporated in July 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. Tesla Motors first built an electric sports car, the Tesla Roadster in 2008, with sales of about 2,500 vehicles to 31 countries.
