Glenn Maxwell “A big hitter of the ball”

Glenn James Maxwell – The Australian all-rounder, is impressing all the cricket fans with his exceptional batting performance in the Pepsi IPL 2014. Maxwell got the immense attention when he struck massive 95 runs (15 fours two Sixes) sparing just 43 balls against the bigger side Chennai Super Kings. Being consistent, he struck 89 runs off just 45 deliveries against Rajasthan Royals which set his team, King XI Punjab in second position of the table right after the Royal Challengers Banglore.  To hold the Orange Cap he has just played 2 games in this season and able to grasp massive 184 runs with the Highest Strike rate of 209.09. A big hitter of the ball, he had played his previous season for the defending champion Mumbai Indians where he just played 3 games and scored 36 runs.

This season Kings XI Punjav has got its fortune correct by getting this guy who can do plenty of fireworks in the middle of ground. When he hit massive and nasty sixes over the rope, he gives a glimpse of Boom Boom Afridi. Maxwell’s teammates gave him the nickname “The Big Show” due to his confidence.  Maxwell now dislikes the nickname and is trying to replace it with the nickname “Maxy”. Well, it would be too early to predict whether he would be the highest run getter of this season or not but the same performance would settle him as a big hitter in the list of all the cricket lovers.
